Huge congratulations to our Head of Chemistry and Analytical Development, Dr. Fraser Brown, who recently celebrated an incredible 20-year milestone with Ingenza Ltd.
Since joining the team back in 2006, Fraser has been at the forefront of supporting continuous innovation and technology development at Ingenza. Fraser was instrumental in Ingenza’s first relocation from the University of Edinburgh to the Roslin BioCentre. Little did he know then, this would be the first of three major company site moves he would successfully help navigate over the next two decades.

Throughout these milestone transitions, Fraser has helped Ingenza integrate cutting edge biology, targeted chemistry and precision fermentation engineering to overcome complex metabolic bottlenecks, delivering scalable and commercially viable bioprocesses for Ingenza’s highly valued customers. In addition, his leadership has been vital in expanding and showcasing Ingenza’s analytical capabilities over the years, providing the critical insights needed to monitor product quality, fermentation yields and optimise downstream purification.
Since stepping into the role of Head of Chemistry in 2016, Fraser has continued to lead with excellence whilst remaining deeply passionate about empowering the next generation. From mentoring Modern Apprentices and fostering University degree partnerships to inspiring young children to pursue STEM careers, his impact has reached far beyond the lab.
